North-West University (NWU) Art Collection


The North-West University has the largest historical and contemporary art collection in the North-West Province, established in 1972. Over the years the collection has expanded within an environment which aims to nurture and develope the arts. Recent acquisitions include works by Peter Eastman, Philemon Hlungwani, Stompie Selibe, Hanneke Benadé, Sam Nhlengethwa, Claudette Schreuders, Diane Victor and Barbara Wildenboer. The Collection also commissions and hosts various public artworks on campus.
