Creative Cape Town

Cape Town, 34 Bree Street

At Creative Cape Town we recognise and champion the integral role that the creative economy plays in the life of our city, country and continent.

As a project of the Cape Town Partnership, Creative Cape Town strives to support, connect and inspire Cape Town’s vibrant creative community and ensure that Cape Town continues to go from strength to strength as a creative capital and a centre of knowledge and innovation – both in Africa and around the world.

Creative Cape Town was formed in 2006 in recognition of the essential role that the creative industries play, both as an economic stimulus and as the expression of the soul of a city. The Cape Town Partnership, together with more than 30 leaders in the fields of culture and creativity, formed Creative Cape Town to innovate, debate and stimulate the creative sector.

Today, Creative Cape Town is a well recognised platform where Cape Town’s diverse creative practitioners can come together to network, and debate as well as a source of user-friendly information, research and analysis. With a database of creative businesses, individuals and followers across the Cape Metropole and beyond, Creative Cape Town connects, informs and inspires through a variety of programmes and touch points.
